Our program was founded by Jonathan Philippe on the principle that everyone, whether rich or poor, should have access to healthcare. Dr. Philippe was born and raised in Haiti and initiated the program in the summer of 2008 in his first year of medical school where in less than 3 days, over 400 patients were seen for blood pressure checks, distribution of vitamins and education on public health issues.

Now

Today, many healthcare professionals travelled with Dr. Philippe every year to provide nutritional education, primary care services and public health education. The communities that receive those services are very appreciative.

Future

Our future plans for Sante Haiti include expanding our free-clinic work in underserved communities throughout the country. We are currently working on plans to build a self-sufficient, environmentally sound primary care facility in Onaville complete with examination rooms, procedure rooms, an on-site laboratory and a community garden. If you are an expert in any of these areas, we welcome your help!

We are planning on continuing and expanding the project, traveling to Haiti at least once a year to better our project and work in collaboration with local physicians and other healthcare professionals.
